Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport is a public/military airport in Vienna Township, Trumbull County, Ohio, 11 miles north of Youngstown and 10 miles east of Warren. The airport has been in operation for +50 years and is home to the Youngstown-Warren Air Reserve Station.
The CASTLO Community Improvement Corporation is a non-profit organization with a mission to advance, encourage and promote industrial, economic, commercial and civic development within the cities of Campbell, Struthers and Lowellville, and Coitsville and Poland townships. This is accomplished by managing a 120 acre industrial park and a community fund.
The WRPA works closely with the City of Youngstown to revitalize dilapidated properties, specifically on Mahoning Avenue as it’s the gateway to Downtown Youngstown.
McGuffey Mall was constructed in 1954 as McGuffey Plaza, converted into an indoor center in 1972. The WRPA is ideating plans for this abandoned property.
BDM Warren Steel Holdings LLC donated the majority of the former Republic Steel property in Trumbull County to the Western Reserve Port Authority.
Members of the port authority’s board of directors authorized former CEO John Moliterno to negotiate and execute an agreement to accept the donated property, 999 Pine Ave. S.E., Warren, at their meeting Wednesday morning, the first of 2021.
