The Western Reserve Port Authority provided Capital Lease financing for the University Edge development adjacent to the campus at Youngstown State University. University Edge, a privately owned student apartment project, broke ground on September 28, 2015.
The Western Reserve Port Authority’s financing solutions help reduce construction costs for the four-story 162-bed apartment. This project promises to improve student life while revitalizing the neighborhoods surrounding the campus and downtown Youngstown.
“We are very excited about partnering with University Edge development to help them reach their development goals in a timely and cost-effective way,” John Moliterno, Port Executive Director stated. “We are also pleased to see the campus and the City’s downtown district become enhanced with this new project. These are the kind of public-private partnerships we hope to keep pursuing.”
